5 Lessons I Learned After Publishing 7 Books in 18 Months 📚
About 2 years ago, I got a wild idea:
Write and publish a new book every 90 days.
It sounded a little crazy, but I wanted to test something:
What would happen if I committed to consistency, embraced systems, and created a series of books that helped people solve real problems?
Fast forward to today: I’ve published 7 books (6 of them part of a book series) in just 18 months.
Here are the 5 biggest lessons I learned along the way 👇
1. Done is Better Than Perfect
I did my own editing. I designed my own covers in Canva.
Was it perfect? Nope.
But here’s the deal: Done books change lives. Unfinished ones don’t.
If you want to move fast and make an impact, perfectionism will slow you down every time.
2. Systems Beat Inspiration
You won’t feel inspired every day. But systems? They show up even when you don’t feel like it.
Here’s the formula I use for every chapter:
-
Start with a story or “pull” to hook the reader
-
Break down common mistakes
-
Deliver a Paradigm Shift
-
Share 3–5 sub points
-
Include a practical exercise and key takeaways
Once I had this structure, it became like plug and play.
Just add a topic and go.
3. One Book Fuels the Next
Instead of writing random standalone books, I created a series.
Each book solves a specific problem, and naturally leads to the next:
-
Discover your message ➡ Launch your platform
-
Launch your platform ➡ Validate your offer
-
Validate your offer ➡ Build your audience
-
And so on...
Every book creates the desire for the next one. That’s how you build momentum and a loyal readership.
4. Writing is Marketing (When Done Right)
I didn’t write these books to get rich (though they do bring in consistent revenue now).
I wrote them to create awareness.
Amazon already has the traffic. People discover my books through search, read them, join my email list—and that’s how they enter my world.
The books do the heavy lifting for me.
5. You’re Not Just Writing Books—You’re Building a Legacy
This was the biggest mindset shift.
Books outlive us.
Your voice, your wisdom, your perspective—can keep impacting people long after you're gone.
That’s why I wrote The Daily Messenger—a 365-day devotional that distills all the lessons from my workbook series into bite-sized daily content.
Your words matter.
Your story matters.
And your book might just be someone’s turning point.
Be on the lookout for an email invite tomorrow đź‘€
I’m starting another 90-Day Book Accelerator Program where I will personally work with 5–10 people to write and publish their book (using my system + AI prompts) in under 90 days.
Tomorrow I’ll share the link where you can apply!
Let’s write your legacy—together.
Your Message Matters,
