I used to think writing a book meant staring at a blank page until inspiration struck.
Spoiler alert: inspiration rarely shows up on schedule.
For years, I told myself I'd write "when I had more time" or "when the ideas were clearer."
The truth is, I was stuck in the trap most aspiring authors fall into—believing the only way to write a real book was to do it 100% myself, word by painful word.
Then I discovered something that changed everything.
The 20-60-20 Book Writing Framework
Inside the pages of my new book (launching tomorrow!), I share what I call the 20-60-20 Book Writing Framework.
It's the system that helped me write faster without losing my voice—and it's simpler than you think.

Here's how it breaks down:
The first 20% is your Irreplaceable Work. This is the part only you can do—infusing your book with your vision, your stories, your unique perspective. You create transcripts by talking through your ideas (Google Docs voice feature works great), pulling from old videos or podcasts, or just rambling into a microphone like you're explaining concepts to a friend over coffee.
The messier, the better. This is your raw material—the gold you're mining from your own mind.
The next 60% is your Accelerated Work. This is where AI becomes your co-author. You feed your transcript into structured prompts that build a chapter outline, then write section by section—not all at once. One introduction. Five paragraphs on point one. Then point two. Piece by piece, keeping AI anchored to your voice and ideas.
The secret? Never ask AI to write an entire chapter at once. You'll get shallow summaries instead of rich, detailed content. Go section by section in the same chat thread, and the difference is dramatic.
The final 20% is your Craftsmanship Work. This is where you edit and shape the AI-written draft to retain your voice and vision. You use a three-layer editing system: developmental (big-picture structure), readability (clarity and flow), and copy editing (grammar and polish).
Each layer builds on the previous one. Skip developmental editing, and you'll polish chapters that don't belong. Skip readability, and perfect grammar won't save confusing prose. Skip copy editing, and typos will distract from your message.
Why This Works
Most people think AI writing means typing "write me a chapter about leadership" and hoping for magic.
That's not how it works—at least not if you want a book that sounds like you wrote it.
The real process is more deliberate, more personal, and surprisingly simple once you understand the framework.
Your stories.
Your frameworks.
Your voice.
Just faster.
I've used this exact system to write my latest book in 90 days—without losing my voice or my mind.
And tomorrow, I'm releasing it to help you do the same.
WATCH FOR MY EMAIL TOMORROW. I'm launching "The 90-Day Author: How to Write Your Book Without Losing Your Voice Using AI in 90 Days or Less"—the final book in my 90-Day series. Anyone who purchases this week gets special bonuses you won't want to miss.

START CREATING YOUR TRANSCRIPT TODAY. Open Google Docs, turn on voice typing, and talk through one chapter idea for 10 minutes. Don't edit yourself. Just talk. You'll be amazed at how much raw material you create.
THINK STRUCTURE, NOT PERFECTION. Your first draft doesn't need to be pretty. It just needs to be yours. The framework handles the rest.
